where every picture tells a story

There are two main styles of wedding photography -
'Traditional' (or classic) photography involves shooting 'posed' photographs where the subjects are always aware of the camera. In this style the photographer typically provides plenty of direction and controls the arranging and positioning of subjects for both individual and group shots. Classic photography ensures you get all those traditional poses and typical wedding shots whilst focussing on positioning subjects to look their best and paying particular attention to details such as body alignment, lighting and background etc.
'Reportage' wedding photography (sometimes referred to as photojournalistic) utilises a stylish and more creative approach with the aim of capturing the 'story' of the day with all it's atmosphere and emotion by taking a series of informal, candid and entirely natural shots in addition to the more formal 'posed' shots used in traditional or classic styles.
At Purple Pictures, we specialise in providing a creative blend of these two styles in order to provide you with a complete and detailed record of events whilst capturing all those spontaneous and otherwise 'unseen' moments that together combine to tell your unique wedding story.
We provide 'unlimited' photography, usually shooting an average of 400 photographs during the whole day. We then provide every single one of your images on a high resolution DVD for you to keep.
From your complete image collection you then select your chosen number of images to be included in one of our beautiful range of traditional or contemporary albums or wedding storybooks.
Your chosen images can include colour, black & white, sepia, and a range of creative digital effects to further enhance your finished presentation.
